Russian Minister Sergey Lavrov held talks with President Pellegrini’s advisor Ján Kubiš in Minsk

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov met with Ján Kubiš, adviser to the President of the Slovak Republic on foreign policy, in Minsk on Tuesday. According to the Russian Foreign Ministry, both diplomats emphasized the importance of maintaining contacts and developing cooperation.

The Russian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sergey Lavrov, held talks in Minsk on Tuesday with the adviser to the President of the Slovak Republic on foreign policy, Ján Kubiš. During the meeting, they emphasized the importance of maintaining contacts and developing cooperation in the economic, cultural and humanitarian fields, as well as inter-parliamentary dialogue, the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported, quoted by the TASS agency, writes TASR.

The two diplomats also “exchanged views on international issues of common interest,” the Russian Foreign Ministry noted.

The meeting between Lavrov and Kubiš took place on the sidelines of the 3rd Minsk International Conference on Eurasian Security. Delegations from 48 countries along with representatives of seven international organizations took part in this conference in Minsk. Among the foreign guests were North Korean Foreign Minister Che Son-hui and her Hungarian colleague Péter Szijjártó.
