Anti-drug raid in Rio de Janeiro: Police killed more than 60 people


Rio de Janeiro – Dozens of people were killed in a large-scale anti-drug operation by the Brazilian police in Rio de Janeiro. There are at least 64 dead, including four police officers, a representative of the security authorities told the AFP news agency on Tuesday. The operation was directed against the notorious drug gang “Comando Vermelho” and, according to Rio’s Governor Claudio Castro, was the largest in the history of the state.
