Consortium wins auction for 634 km of state highways in MT

RDG Sinop offers 13.81% tariff discount in the open outcry stage; concession contract will have a term of 30 years and R$2.7 billion in private investments

The RDG Sinop Consortium won, in the open outcry stage, the auction for Lot 6 – Rodovia Multimodal de Mato Grosso this Thursday (October 30, 2025). The bid proposed the highest percentage of tariff discount, 13.81%.

The project offered 634.3 km of state highways, within the State Concessions Program and involves sections of the MT-020, MT-140, MT-225, MT-244 and MT-251 highways, connecting the municipalities of Chapada dos Guimarães and Sinop – one of the main logistical hubs in the State.

The concession contract will have a term of 30 years. Private investments of R$2.7 billion in works and improvements to road infrastructure, in addition to R$2.5 billion in operational costs that will be assumed by the concessionaire.

The consortium is made up of companies Terracom Concessões, , Cast and which operate in the infrastructure, engineering and transport management sectors.

At the end of the auction, Terracom’s director, Fernando Evanir, stated that the consortium “very interested in growing in the State of Mato Grosso”.

The lot includes the municipalities of Campo Verde, Chapada dos Guimarães, Nova Brasilândia, Nova Ubiratã, Planalto da Serra, Rosário Oeste, Santa Carmem, Santa Rita do Trivelato, Sinop, Sorriso and Vera.

Taken to the market at the beginning of 2025 and without attracting bidders at that time, the project, this time, aroused the interest of 3 bidders, which were:

  • RDG Sinop Consortium (winner);
  • Rota Multimodal Consortium;

According to the infrastructure and regulatory specialist at , , participation indicates that there is a “moment of effervescence in the road concessions sector”.

“The auction confirmed the moment of effervescence in the road concessions sector […] The interest of 3 consortia, with different profiles, including investment funds, local construction companies, construction companies with a history of activity in this and other concession programs and infrastructure operators, proves this”he told the Poder360.

RELEVANT ROUTE FOR AGRICULTURE

The Chapada dos Guimarães–Sinop stretch is considered strategic for the flow of agricultural production from the north of the State, especially soybeans, corn and cotton.

The route connects producing regions to the main logistics corridors that lead to the ports of Arco Norte, facilitating transport to river and rail terminals.
