Erico Rocha explains the game of digital marketing and the secrets to making 1 billion






The courage to change path and leave a steady salary were the turning point in Erico Rocha’s life. About 10 years ago, he earned the equivalent of more than R$90,000 a month in London, worked for large investment banks and experienced what many would call success. But something essential was still missing: happiness.

“I was earning 15 thousand pounds a month and I quit. The problem was that I wasn’t happy. I was doing what I didn’t really like to become who I didn’t want to be”, recalled the digital entrepreneur.

This decision turned into the creation of one of the largest digital marketing empires in the country. Today, his students earn more than 1 billion reais per year using the Launch Formula methodology, created and popularized by him in Brazil.

“A lot of people ask me how I know this. I follow more than 100 mentees who earn over 10 million each. It’s an audited number, and I can prove it: my students, together, generate more than 1 billion a year.”

The digital entrepreneur was the newest guest at the Level Up, podcast presented by Roberto Indech, head of institutional relations for variable income at XP.

In 2009, Érico quit his job at a bank in London after a personal development course that made him rethink his life. He returned to Brazil and tried to start a property auction website, but the business didn’t take off.

It was then that he discovered an American course on digital marketing. Even though he was suspicious, he decided to invest US$5,000, which, for him, was “the first big purchase in his life”.

“It was a poorly filmed course, with no support. But I realized it worked. I made my first launch and sold R$170,000 in seven days. That showed me that I had the right formula.”

The concept of “6 em 7” nothing more than earning R$100,000 in 7 days. The term became synonymous with success in Brazilian digital entrepreneurship and leveraged Érico’s name.

“At the time, 6 in 7 was a bold goal. Today, there are people who make 2 million a year and think it’s not enough. The market has evolved and the bar has risen”, says Rocha.

Despite his fame, Érico says he is not a “viral influencer”. He prefers the path of consistency and avoids ostentation.

“I’m not viral. I’m consistent. And that’s what made me build 1 billion.”
Showing cars and mansions generates engagement, but my audience wants results, not illusion. My past doesn’t motivate me. What moves me is what I haven’t created yet”, reinforces Erico.
