The president of Brazil, (PT) used social media, on Wednesday night (29), to talk about the mega-operation of which left 119 people dead. “We cannot accept that organized crime continues to destroy families, oppress residents and spread drugs and violence throughout cities,” said Lula in a post on X, formerly Twitter. “I met this morning with ministers from my government and ordered the Minister of Justice and the director general of the Federal Police to go to Rio to meet with the governor,” wrote the president.

The decision was taken after the mega police operation that resulted in the deaths of at least 119 suspects.
