Mega da Virada 2025 has a prize estimated at R$850 million, which could reach R$1 billion. It will be the biggest prize in the history of the Brazilian lottery. Information about the special contest was shared by Caixa Econômica Federal live with lotteries across the country, held this Monday (14).

In the conversation, Caixa representatives highlighted that the initial prize of R$850 million can be exceeded — so much so that the publicity material for the special competition will highlight “increased to”. Betting will start on November 1st.
The prize expected for this year exceeds the R$635 million paid in the 2024 Mega da Virada. The considerable increase is related to a change in the distribution of the draw announced by Caixa in July. In the case of the Mega da Virada main prize, the percentage distributed went from 62% to 90%.

Mega da Virada does not accumulate. In other words, if there is no winner with six dozen, the main prize is divided to whoever hits the corner and so on.

For those who bet with a single ticket, which costs R$6, the probability of hitting all six tens is one in more than 50 million. For those who play the game with 20 numbers, which costs R$232,000, the chance increases considerably: one in 1,292.
How to play Mega-Sena?
The minimum Mega-Sena bet costs R$6 and can be placed at lotteries across Brazil or online, until 7pm. Just choose six numbers from 1 to 60. The prize goes to the player who matches the six numbers drawn. It is also possible to win prizes by matching four or five numbers.
How to play online?
Anyone over 18 can bet through Caixa Econômica Federal’s electronic channels. The maximum amount accepted is R$500. Payment can be made by credit, debit card, Pix or Mercado Pago.
