Orbán published a PHOTO with the ex-minister, which caused a huge stir: They want to prosecute him in Poland!

Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán published a joint photo on Facebook with former Polish Minister of Justice Zbigniew Ziobra on Thursday. to which the current Minister of Justice and Prosecutor General Waldemar Žurek submitted a proposal to remove parliamentary immunity and initiate criminal prosecution. The correspondent of TASR in Budapest informs about it.

“Justice for Poland! The Polish right has achieved a huge victory in the presidential elections. The Polish government, which is allied with Brussels, has since launched a political campaign against her. Today in Budapest I met with the former Minister of Justice Zbigniew Ziobra, whom the Polish government wants to arrest. All this in the heart of Europe. And Brussels is silent,” writes Orbán.

On Tuesday, Žurek submitted to the Sejm a request to waive the immunity of a member of the Law and Justice (PiS) party and ex-minister Ziobra. It also proposes his arrest and detention in connection with the investigation into the management of funds from the Justice Fund.

According to the spokeswoman of the General Prosecutor’s Office, Anna Adamiaková, the prosecutor’s office has evidence that allows it to be assumed that Ziobro founded and managed an organized criminal group while serving as Minister of Justice. She allegedly appropriated more than 150 million zlotys (about 35.4 million euros) from the Justice Fund. According to the prosecutor’s office, the group consisted of ministry officials and persons connected to entities that received subsidies from the fund.

The prosecutor’s office attributes to Ziobra 26 criminal offences, including abuse of authority, negligence in the performance of a public function, falsification of documents and embezzlement of public funds. These acts are said to be directly connected to his work at the head of the Department of Justice, which managed the funds of the fund.
