Commercial Association of SP predicts an increase of up to 15% in sales of themed accessories and clothing in 2025
The trade in costumes and props is expected to register growth of 11% to 15% in sales for Halloween this year, according to an estimate from the ACSP (São Paulo Commercial Association).
According to the entity, the increase is driven by greater disposable income, the improvement in the job market and the popularization of the date, which has been gaining ground in different regions of the country. The survey considers the performance of specialized stores in the costume and themed items segment.
ACSP economist Ulisses Ruiz de Gamboa says that interest in Halloween grows consistently every year.
“Large brands have also taken advantage of the period to intensify marketing actions and expand sales opportunities”he declared.
Despite the good performance, Ruiz de Gamboa considered that Halloween is still a niche event, with no major impact on retail in general. “The effect is localized, but it shows how the Brazilian consumer is more open to new commemorative dates”, these.
