has approved the transfer agreement for the short-form video app, US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said today, adding that he expected it to move forward in the coming weeks and months without going into further details.
“In Kuala Lumpur, we finalized the deal on TikTok on terms that China approved, and I expect that will move forward in the coming weeks and months and we will finally see a resolution to that,” he told Fox Business Network after President Donald Trump met with Chinese leader Xi Jinping.
China’s Ministry of Commerce said in a statement earlier today that China will appropriately handle TikTok-related issues with the United States.
