According to old Polish beliefs, ravens and crows symbolize death and the world of spirits. It was believed that after seeing these birds on All Saints’ Day we receive bad news from ourselves or our loved ones.

The raven heralds health problems, while the crow portends family conflicts. They can also bring bad luck in the coming year.
