A knife attack on a train bound for London left ten people injured, nine seriously, last Saturday night (1). The incident occurred between Doncaster and King’s Cross stations, in the English capital.
The attack happened before the train on which the victims were traveling arrived at Huntingdon station, about 120 kilometers north of London. They were taken to hospitals and there are no deaths reported so far.
Emergency teams, including armed officers and medical helicopters, quickly responded to the call as the train arrived at the station. The area was isolated for evidence collection and investigation.

The UK counter-terrorism unit is assisting with investigations to clarify the circumstances and motivations behind the incident. Two men were arrested and are in custody, according to the BBC citing information from the British Transport Police (BTP).
Panic
Witnesses reported scenes of panic and despair on the platform, with passengers injured and running for cover. Quick police action managed to contain the attacker as soon as the train stopped.
British Prime Minister Keir Starmer expressed solidarity with the victims, while authorities urged caution to avoid spreading rumors. The investigation remains ongoing, with a focus on determining the motivation for the attack, and, according to international agencies, the British police have ruled out terrorism.
King Charles III offered his “deepest condolences” to the victims.
