In 2020, Maroš Kramár (66) received a wave of criticism when he was supposed to touch the make-up artist’s background with his finger during the filming of a TV show. At the time, the Slovak actor said that the whole thing was just extremely inflated and that even the mentioned lady, who has known him for years, did not make a science out of it. Well-known humorist Oliver Andrásy (68) returned to the case after a while in an interview for the platform.
“I have known Maroš for a really long time, since I entered this radio-television field. I know he is an absolute gentleman. In life, he would not bother a woman, because he is just very shy about these things. In my opinion, he took it as a friend whom he patted on the ass in such a friendly way. But we’ve probably all done that, when we’ve met some woman, I don’t know, they’ve either said something to her, patted her ass, or given her a kiss. I don’t consider that to be sexual harassment. Let no one be angry with me,” he said.
Andrásy admits that after the broadcast of these images he was unpleasantly surprised by the wave of hatred that was unleashed against Kramár on social networks. “It really seems like extremism to me, or I don’t know how to call it, that simply normal things are considered something inadmissible. The Hungarian writer Frigyes Karinthy said that a man and a woman can never understand each other because everyone wants something different. A man wants a woman and a woman wants a man. If a man expresses some affection to a woman, it cannot be sexual harassment unless you do it violently.” he added.
In the past, Kramár also commented on the whole matter, making a joke on his account. “I didn’t even touch her and television put this skit, which took place during intermission, in the closing credits as a joke. Everyone caught on to it and it became a scandal. My little finger was so strong that it pushed covid out of the newspaper. The next day there was no covid, Kramár was everywhere. If he was a make-up artist, maybe I’d be a hero and everyone would be saying how progressive I am.” revealed in .
When the media contacted him, he didn’t even know what it was about at first because he hadn’t seen the show. Everyone asked him for an apology, which made the whole thing even worse. “So I’m sorry, to you and to all the women I’ve hurt and most of all I’m sorry to all those women who nobody touches… That second sentence started even more anger and I was a complete pig,” mentioned Kramár.
He further revealed in the show that this one but he does not regret the act. He would do it again with gusto, wondering what kind of world this was when they turned it into violence. He also feels sorry for today’s young people, who will write contracts on a date about how long they can look at each other.
“I wouldn’t allow myself something in my life that would be over. When we are friends and we kiss or grab each other, a third person has nothing to judge and that’s what pissed me off about my ‘scandal’. I feel like a gentleman, I love women and protect them, and it hurt me all the more.” concluded Kramár.
