The original historical television series of Slovak Television, which maps the life destinies of three generations of a Slovak family between 1914 and 1951, gained great popularity among viewers. “Time of hopes is a very expensive and production-intensive series. I would very much like to see a sequel, and it is currently being worked on – the series is in the stage of writing the script. At the moment, however, everything is a matter of funding. Continuation will only be possible if we manage to secure sufficient financial resources,” she said in May.
During 8 episodes, the series drew viewers into the action with a dramatic story taking place during the most important historical events. The main characters experienced their destinies during the disintegration of Austria-Hungary, two world wars, the creation of the Czechoslovak Republic or the Slovak National Uprising.
