According to a guest analyst from CNN Brazil Leandro Stoliar, the escape was protected by around 70 members of the faction, who formed an armed siege to ensure the criminal’s exit from the region.

The police You still don’t know his whereabouts. Disque Denúncia is offering a reward of R$100,000 for information leading to the suspect’s location — the same amount paid for information about Fernandinho Beira-Mar when he fled to Colombia.

According to the Public Ministry, Doca is considered responsible for ordering acts of torture in Complexo da Penha. He is considered one of the drug trafficking leaders of Comando Vermelho and is currently leading the illegal drug trade in Morro do São Simão, in Queimados, Baixada Fluminense.

Born in Caiçara, Paraíba, Doca has emerged as one of the main figures of the faction over the last few years, accumulating influence within the CV structure and commanding criminal operations in different parts of the state of Rio.

Security forces continue to carry out efforts to try to locate the suspect. The mega-operation on October 28 resulted in more than 120 deaths, according to official information, and was the largest and deadliest police action ever recorded in the state.
