How to get to the Interlagos Race Track?
Trains (CPTM) and Metro
Rail transport is, without a doubt, the best option. The main artery to the race track is the CPTM Line 9-Emeraldoperated by ViaMobilidade.
Changing on Line 9-Esmeralda is possible at several stations, such as Pinheiros (with Line 4-Yellow), Osasco (with Line 8-Diamante) e Santo Amaro (with Line 5-Lilac).
The final destination for those using the trails is the Autódromo Station. From there, it takes around 15 to 35 minutes to walk, depending on your entry gate (Sector G is the closest, at around 800m, while Sector A may require a 2.6km walk).
Special Services (Expresses): For those looking for more comfort and speed (and are willing to pay more), the F1 organization and ViaMobilidade usually offer the “GP SP Express Train” (also called “Pole Position”).
-
What is it: Exclusive trains with an appointment and without stops, leaving from Pinheiros or Morumbi stations directly to Interlagos.
-
Cost: Tickets are sold in advance online and cost significantly more than the regular fare (R$5.00), but guarantee a faster and less crowded trip.

Bus (SPTrans)
SPTrans activates a robust special operation for event days, with express bus lines departing from several strategic points in the city.
-
F1 Expresses: These are executive buses that depart from “mini-terminals” located at points such as Congonhas Airport, Jabaquara Metro, Praça da República, Trianon-Masp and shopping malls (such as SP Market).
-
Operation: These buses have a special fare (generally charged per round trip) and leave fans at points very close to the racetrack gates, making them a comfortable option.
-
Circular Line: In addition to the express buses, SPTrans also operates a circular bus line (such as the 606F/10) that departs from the CPTM Autódromo Station and surrounds the circuit, facilitating access to the most distant gates.
Private Car and Applications
Going by car to Interlagos during Formula 1 is strongly discouraged by the organization and traffic authorities.
Depending on your destination, the journey can easily exceed 2 or 3 hours on event days. Traffic in the region is extremely heavy.
-
Blocks: CET (Traffic Engineering Company) implements a strict blocking scheme around the race track. Only accredited vehicles (media, organization, residents) can travel on direct access roads.
-
Parking: There is no official parking at the racetrack for the public. Fans who opt for a car have to resort to improvised parking in nearby homes and businesses, which can charge more than R$300.00 for a space, without any guarantee of safety.
-
App Cars (Uber, 99): This is not a peaceful option either. The applications will work with boarding and disembarking “pockets” designated by the city hall, located a considerable distance from the gates. Furthermore, expect extremely high dynamic prices (fares), both on the way to and (mainly) on the way out of the event.
