  • President Pellegrini congratulated Babiš on his election victory.
  • They discussed energy, digitization, defense and cooperation between Slovakia and the Czech Republic.
  • Pellegrini expressed support for the V4 format and its revival.

“We are facing common challenges – energy security, decarbonisation of industry, green and digital transformation, defence, nuclear energy in the EU, including the diversification of gas and oil supplies. That is why I am pleased that we are united by the will to find solutions for the benefit of the people of both countries. The V4 format is also a good space for joint discussion – I am glad that we also find agreement on the need for its revival,” Pellegrini said on social networks.
