According to the opposition, Minister of Health Kamil Šaško (Voice-SD) should resign from his position after the decision of the General Prosecutor’s Office (GP) of the Slovak Republic on the illegality of the termination of the rescue tender. This follows from the statements of representatives of SaS, KDH and the Slovakia movement.

“What we said from the beginning, that the Minister of Health Kamil Šaško is acting illegally in the rescue tender, was confirmed today by the Prosecutor General. We therefore call on Prime Minister Robert Fico (Smer-SD) to hold the Minister of Health politically accountable.” declared a member of the National Council (NR) of the SR František Majerský (KDH). He also calls on the prime minister to start solving what will happen to the emergency health service, into which the ministry has brought chaos.
SaS leader Branislav Gröhling thinks that Šaško should have resigned a long time ago. He asks what the Minister of Health is like when he cannot announce a transparent tender or cancel it in accordance with the law. “He made two mistakes – he didn’t write the tender correctly and he didn’t even know how to cancel it correctly,” he stated.
After Šašek’s departure from office, the Slovensko Movement is also calling. “The bailout tender for more than two billion euros directed by the Hlas-SD party is the biggest scandal in the health sector in history. (…) After today’s decision by the Prosecutor General, the Minister of Health Kamil Šaško has the only option, to resign and disappear from politics forever.” reacted.
The Ministry of Health (MOH) of the Slovak Republic proceeded in the process of issuing a permit for the operation of ambulances of the emergency medical service (ZZS) in violation of the laws. Prosecutor General Maroš Žilinka informed about it on the social network, stating that the prosecutor’s protests had been filed.
In May, the Operations Center of the Emergency Medical Service of the Slovak Republic announced a tender for the operation of ambulances of the emergency medical service. The opposition and part of the coalition criticized the tender for lack of transparency. The operations center canceled it in August.
