Iran warns that it learned from the 12-Day War — which demonstrated, above all, that “Israeli air defenses can be overcome”.
The Iranian Foreign Minister, Abbas Araghchistated that the world only witnessed a fraction of Iran’s power during the 12-day war with Israel in June this year, according to Iranian state media cited by .

“I think the whole world watched part of our power during the 12 day war. Despite the surprise attacks launched by Israel on the first day, we were able to respond immediately“, declared Araghchi in an interview with Al-Jazeera.
“In the early days, Donald Trump wrote in the X that we should surrender unconditionally, but, on the 12th day, They were the ones who proposed a ceasefire unconditional”, added the diplomat.
“This demonstrates that Iran is much stronger than they imagined. In particular, national unity and the people’s firm support for the Government were a great surprise for the world”, highlighted Araghchi.
“We learned many lessons from that waron the political, military and economic planes, and I can say that, if another conflict occurs, we will be even more prepared”, warned the Iranian Foreign Minister.
According to the Iranian news agency IRNA, “the Foreign Minister also warned Israel that it would fail again start a new war against Iran, arguing that the Islamic Republic identified weaknesses of the enemy during the 12-day confrontation.”
“A failed experiment can only lead to another failurethe. The Israeli regime did not achieve any of its objectives during the 12-day war, and if it tries to repeat this failed experiment, it will face the same result — especially since we are now better prepared,” said Araghchi.
“We have identified in detail both our own weaknesses like those of the enemy during war, and we can now act with much greater force”, said the head of Iranian diplomacy, who added that the conflict proved that “Israeli air defenses can be penetrated”.
According to IRNA, the top Iranian diplomat highlighted that, during the 12-day war, the country made every effort to prevent the conflict from spreading to the region, even when Israel tried to expand it into the Persian Gulf, attacking Iran’s oil and petrochemical facilities in that area.
“It is not clear what will happen in the future. We are not interested in a war or its escalation. But we face a warmongering regimewilling to drag the entire region into the conflict”, added Araghchi.
Iran accuses Israel of being the main cause of instability in the Middle East. According to Araghchi, a significant change has occurred in the region, with several countries now recognize who the real enemy is. “The old propaganda that portrayed Iran as a threat has lost credibility“, he highlighted.
According to the Iranian minister, the 400 tons of enriched uranium 60% remain in the same place where they were before the 12-day war.
“We haven’t touched them since before the war. Most of it, practically all of it, is under the rubble, and we have no intention of removing it until conditions allow,” he detailed.
“We also don’t know how much of this uranium remains intact and how much has been lost; We will only know when it is recovered from under the wreckage. It is exactly where it was before the attack”, he concluded.
