Have you already planned a festive family dinner for the National Independence Day, but you lack an idea for a delicious dessert? Simple kneaded dough it will be perfect for November 11th. It requires only easily available ingredients, most of which you probably already have at home. In our baking recipe, we added plums, but you can also use other fruits. Apples, pears, peaches and raspberries will work great.
The cake itself is really easy to make. Just combine the products in a bowl and knead them all togetheras the name of the dessert itself suggests. The fruit cake should then go into the oven for about 30 minutes and it is ready. This is one of the easiest desserts to prepare, which is strongly associated with grandma’s or mother’s home-made baking.
Ingredients:
- 300 g of flour,
- 1.5 teaspoons of baking powder,
- 100 g sugar,
- a pinch of salt,
- 100 g of slightly cooled butter,
- 2 eggs (size L),
- a teaspoon of vanilla essence,
- 350 g of fruit, e.g. plums,
- powdered sugar (for decoration).
How to do it:
- Sift flour and baking powder into a large bowl. Mix with sugar and salt.
- Cut the butter (it should be able to be cut, but must remain plastic) and add it to the dry products. Also crack the eggs into a bowl and pour in the vanilla essence.
- Mix the ingredients and knead with your hands into a uniform mass.
- Wash the fruits and prepare them depending on their type. Cut the plums into quarters and remove the seeds.
- Line the bottom of a 25 cm diameter cake tin with baking paper. Pour the dough into the form and smooth its surface. Place the fruit on the dough and press it in slightly.
- Put the form in the oven preheated to 180°C. Bake for about 30 minutes – until the stick is dry.
- Set the baked cake aside to cool completely. Sprinkle with powdered sugar before serving.
