“You’re nothing but a coward.” The war continues between the “little monster” and the “thief”.
The war continues. The president of the Oeiras City Council, Isaltino Moraisonce again attacked Chega’s leader, André Ventura on social media, calling him “cowards” e “bully” that harasses journalists.
In reaction to André Ventura’s recent interview on CNN Portugal, during which the Chega leader left the studio after an exchange of words with commentators Pedro Costa and Francisco Rodrigues dos Santos, Isaltino leaves the tip: “Whoever leads doesn’t run away, a real man doesn’t run away”.
“Didn’t I tell you that Andrezito was nothing more than a coward? He’s such a bully that he goes into interviews to harass journalists, he doesn’t like being confronted. He was confused by having a journalist in front of him who wasn’t cowed by his attacks, along with Chicão and Costa. And he ran away”, he declares, reinforcing: “I said he was nothing more than a coward.”
“If before it was André Tutti-Frutti, now it is André blurred. Run away, Andrésito, run away. You run away because you’re nothing more than a coward who, when he doesn’t control the situation, leaves. After all, Andrésito is a boy”, says the mayor of Oeiras, in reference to the “Tutti Frutti” case, which involves PS and PSD leaders and was named after Ventura.
In the message, Isaltino also accuses Ventura of fueling “entertainment through hate”, also blaming the media for giving rise to this type of speech.
“This taste for entertainment based on hate is eroding our societies. 50 years ago, the country stopped to watch the soap opera about Gabriela, a free-spirited brunette. We went from a soap opera based on Jorge Amado’s novel to the opera buffa of a little monster who screams, lies, threatens the most fragile and who, when confronted head on, sulks. Culturally and aesthetically, I think we are losing qualities”, confesses Isaltino Morais.
So far, André Ventura has not publicly reacted to the mayor’s statements, but we can certainly expect another chapter in this constant exchange of insults and accusations. This is because it is not the first time that the two have “stung each other”.
Just over a month ago, the 75-year-old mayor “little dictator, compulsive liar and coward” Ventura addressed to Chega’s leader on Instagram. There, Ventura.
