Acre recorded a historic feat in public health: the implementation of the first testicular prosthesis implant in the state. The procedure, conducted by a team from the Acre Hospital Foundation (Fundhacre), marks an important advance in human health care and reinforces the public system’s commitment to offering humanized and restorative treatment.
The implant is indicated for patients who have lost their testicle as a result of illness or trauma. According to experts, the use of the prosthesis has aesthetic and psychological purposes, helping to rebuild body image and self-esteem, without altering hormones or sexual functions.

Fundhacre highlighted that the service was guaranteed by the SUS and is part of Blue November actions, a month to raise awareness about men’s health. In addition to the unprecedented surgery, the institution is also preparing new joint efforts aimed at men — the first of which, vasectomy, takes place on Saturday (8). On the 15th, the Men’s Health Task Force will be held, with consultations in urology, cardiology, proctology and dentistry, as well as exams and vaccinations.
The repercussion on social media was positive. Internet users praised the progress and highlighted the importance of public policies that address topics that are still taboo, such as men’s intimate health. For many, the initiative represents more dignity and care for Acreans. The information is from Fundhacre/Ascom.
