The first case involved the hospitalization of a drug-dependent teenager in the Santa Lúcia Community. According to the police, the young man displayed aggressive behavior and even damaged furniture, a motorcycle and his mother’s car after she refused to give him money to support his addiction.
The mother contacted the Specialized Police for the Protection of Children and Adolescents (DEMPCA) asking for a protective measure. The case was referred to the Judiciary, which granted the requested protection and ordered the minor’s hospitalization in a specialized unit for treatment.
This Wednesday morning, the police served an arrest warrant against Raimundo Justino de Oliveira, aged 69, sentenced to 24 years in prison for raping a vulnerable person. The man was located in the Cohab neighborhood and taken to the police station for legal proceedings before being sent to the prison system.
Delegate Vinícius Almeida, head of DEMPCA, highlighted the commitment of the teams and the relevance of joint action with the Judiciary. “These actions show the Civil Police’s commitment to enforcing court decisions, ensuring both the protection of victims and the accountability of perpetrators,” he stated.
