What’s left for Arrascaeta to renew his contract with Flamengo?
Arrascaeta, currently 31 years old, is very close to renewing his contract with Flamengo. The new agreement will be valid until December 2028, with the possibility of automatic extension until 2029, depending on performance targets. The current contract runs until the end of 2026.
The midfielder will have a salary increase that will place him among the highest paid players in the squad and will also receive gloves for signing. Officialization should take place soon, with only small bureaucratic details remaining.
Negotiations initially cooled down, when the board considered it unnecessary to bring forward the renewal. However, Arrascaeta’s importance in the season made the club change its stance and accelerate the process.
