Natalie Gore (23) had problems with painful periods for several years. Although doctors initially assumed her symptoms were caused by anxiety, she was actually suffering from a much more serious condition. , she believes her problems could have been easily avoided.

Natalie from the English city of Brighton suffered from unbearable menstrual cramps from the age of 11, which prevented her from walking properly. “During my teenage years, I visited several doctors, but they all turned me down. I can’t even count how many specialists I talked to about this problem. It only got worse as the years went by. I took various medicines, but nothing helped me“, she stated.
The desperate Englishwoman therefore decided to see a female specialist, believing that she would understand. “I started crying because she ran at me and I felt like she wasn’t listening. She said to me, ‘I swear on my forty years of experience that you are fine.’ I cried even more after this,” Natalie claims, adding that she recommended practicing yoga.
A serious condition from which she could die
When Natalie had to start changing pads every 30 minutes due to her heavy periods, she paid for a visit to a private doctor. While waiting for the laparoscopy, she suddenly felt stomach pains, so she was taken to the hospital. “I went to the toilet and when I came out of the bathroom I was hit by an incredible pain that made me pass out” she added.
She underwent emergency surgery at the hospital after doctors discovered a large ruptured cyst on her ovary. Later, her appendix had to be removed and it was discovered that she was suffering from endometriosis. “I lost a pint of blood because it was really huge. I had multiple scans and they never noticed it. They didn’t tell me the time frame but given how big it was, it must have been there for a really long time. If I let it go and burst at home, it could kill me,” specified a shocked Natalie.
The young woman, who is currently recovering in the comfort of her own home, is convinced that her long-term difficulties could have been avoided. That’s why he now urges people with similar problems not to ignore their symptoms.
