Washington – Because of the ongoing shutdown, the USA wants to start canceling flights. The planned flight capacities would be “cut by ten percent at 40 airports in the country,” Transport Minister Sean Duffy told journalists on Wednesday. According to the head of the US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), these are the “40 busiest” airports in the country. The move is intended to relieve the burden on air traffic controllers particularly affected by the ongoing budget freeze. (APA, November 5, 2025)
