The president of Petrobras, Magda Chambriard, highlighted on a social network that the results for the third quarter of the year reinforce a maxim that the executive often repeats: anyone who bets against the company will lose.

“Despite a drop in Brent of approximately US$11 per barrel between 3Q24 and 3Q25 (-14%), EBITDA from Exploration and Production (E&P) grew by US$300 million, as a result of the impressive 17% production growth, resulting from increased operational efficiency, better reservoir management and the top production of the FPSO Almirante Tamandaré”, said Magda on a social network.
She highlighted that in the first nine months of the year, investments jumped 28.6%, to US$14 billion. “There are several work fronts that translate into concrete results for the company, its shareholders and Brazilian society”, he stated.
Against the backdrop of the beginning of COP30, and so on, Magda highlighted that in the last seven decades of the company’s existence, Petrobras became the enabler of Brazil’s first export product, oil.
“But the world has changed, and Brazil has changed along with it. Demand for oil has had its growth rate almost annulled, the price is in sharp decline and society demands more clean energy from us,” she said in a post this Friday morning.
According to the executive, Petrobras has always been a pillar of renewable energy, such as ethanol, biodiesel, solar and owner of the first wind energy project in the country.
“In a geopolitically unstable world, with low prices and greater demand for renewables, we began the company’s negotiations for the next 72 years, with a lot of adaptation effort and a lot of commitment from the Petrobras team and partners. With determination, there is nothing that this company cannot deliver to the country. The results of the third quarter of 2025 say so”, said Magda, adding that “as I have said, whoever bets against will lose! A team that is a team guarantees the vanguard!”, he concluded.
