The mayor of Rio Branco, Tião Bocalom, gave details about the domestic accident he suffered in a hotel in Belo Horizonte (MG) during International Coffee Week (SIC). In an exclusive interview with ContilNet, this Friday (7), the manager explained that the incident happened while he was brushing his teeth, when the bathroom sink came loose and ended up breaking, causing small cuts on his foot.

“Unfortunately, I was brushing my teeth when the sink filled up with water. I think the outlet was clogged, and it ended up getting heavy and falling. These sinks have the sink glued under the marble, and it came off. When it fell to the floor, it broke and ended up cutting my foot. They were small cuts, but they could have been bigger”, said the mayor.
Despite the scare, Bocalom said he was doing well and took the opportunity to warn other people about the risk of similar accidents.
“I want to take advantage of my accident to warn everyone who has sinks glued under the marble. It is important to check every now and then that they are not coming off, because it is a danger. If it is falling, it is better to remove it and do it again”, he advised.
The mayor continues to fulfill his agenda at International Coffee Week, where Acre has been highlighted with the participation of local producers and representatives of the state government, who have been presenting the potential of Acre coffee to the national and international market.
