FAB launches South Korean rocket in Alcântara on November 22

The operation is unprecedented in Brazil, according to the Air Force; 5 satellites and 3 experiments will be transported

The (Brazilian Air Force) will launch the company’s South Korean HANBIT-Nano rocket on November 22, at 3 pm. The action will take place at the Alcântara Launch Center (Maranhão). It is the 1st involving a commercial rocket in Brazil. The initiative is part of the Spaceward operation, conducted by FAB in partnership with AEB (Brazilian Space Agency). The rocket will carry 5 satellites and 3 experiments, developed by national and international universities and companies. The Air Force reinforces that the event marks Brazil’s entry into the global space launch market. It also assesses that the measure paves the way to increase income and investments in the sector.
