There are those who associate financial success with a life of luxury, but not everyone chooses this path. Some prefer to live simply, even when they have a fortune capable of guaranteeing them all the comforts, as is the case with this young Spaniard, who we will talk about next.
This is the case of Fran, a young 28-year-old Spanish businessman who, despite being a millionaire, lives on just a thousand euros a month. According to Spanish digital newspaper HuffPost, Fran founded his own technology company and proudly states that he is not “the typical rich boy to whom his parents gave everything”.
A journey made on its own merit
Born in Valencia, Fran became interested in programming at the age of 13, learning self-taught through YouTube. Three years later, he got his first job at a technology company, where he earned between 600 and 800 euros per month. This income allowed him to pay for his university studies outside Spain.
According to the same source, the young man described himself as “a normal person, who worked from an early age to achieve everything he has”. And he made a point of adding: “My parents are civil servants, one of those people who work every day.”
Dream that almost collapsed in California
After finishing the course, Fran decided to take a risk and move to California, in the United States, where she intended to launch a startup focused on creating a digital universe that is more respectful of users. But the high cost of living ended up ruining the plans. “I quickly realized that it wasn’t the right place to start, everything was very expensive and I ended up bankrupt,” he said.
Determined not to give up, he returned to Valencia and founded the company that has now made him a millionaire. Currently, the company has a turnover of around three million euros per year and is valued at 40 million.
Millionaire with normal habits
Despite her success, Fran states that she lives “like anyone her age”. He chooses to keep personal expenses low and reinvest almost all profits in the company’s growth. “I prefer to live simply and invest in the future of the project”, he highlighted.
The young man believes that the secret is maintaining a balance between ambition and responsibility. With well-defined goals, the company intends to reach a turnover of 10 million euros by 2027.
Lesson in humility and focus
According to , Fran’s story shows that money, in itself, does not mean having a luxurious life and does not measure personal success. Between conscious choices and hard work, the young millionaire proves that it is possible to get rich without losing simplicity and that living with little can be, after all, the greatest form of freedom.
