The first McDonald’s restaurant in Quarteira opened this Friday at noon, on Avenida Francisco Sá Carneiro, lot 27, marking a new step in the brand’s expansion in the country. This is the 14th restaurant in the Algarve and the 216th nationally, representing, according to the company, “an important milestone in the brand’s growth and investment in Portugal”.
The new space will be operated by Joaquim Jorge, a McDonald’s franchisee for 26 years and responsible for seven more restaurants between Vila Real de Santo António and Vilamoura.
With a modern design and large areas, McDonald’s Quarteira offers 119 seats in the room and 100 on the terrace, as well as a McDrive service with two service positions, designed to guarantee “an even faster service and greater convenience for its customers”.
The restaurant also includes an underground car park with 75 spaces, including spaces dedicated to families, people with reduced mobility and electric vehicles with fast charging points. It also offers the Mobile Orders service, which allows you to place orders via the mobile application and collect them next to the McDrive exit lane.
According to the brand, the new restaurant “has proposals that offer affordable options that meet consumer expectations”, from breakfasts and light meals at McCafé to full menus available throughout the day.
The space is equipped with the latest technologies, including multimedia kiosks for autonomous ordering, table service, Digital Menuboard, USB sockets and wireless chargers, in an environment designed to provide comfort and efficiency.
In line with , the restaurant “reinforces the brand’s commitment to the energy transition”, integrating photovoltaic panels to produce renewable energy and more efficient equipment that reduces energy consumption. Ecopoints were also installed for selective waste separation, promoting the recycling of plastic, metal, paper, organics and liquids.
The opening of McDonald’s Quarteira generates around 60 new direct jobs, recruited in the region, contributing to local economic dynamism.
