Member of the CPI (Parliamentary Commission of Inquiry), the senator (PSD-BA) demands that the State provide more structure for security agents.
“2,000 years ago the Romans went to war wearing helmets, it is not possible that we do not have appropriate helmets and vests for our security forces”, says the parliamentarian to the Panel.
The CPI was installed on Tuesday (4), with the senator (PT-ES) as president.
The committee has 11 members and 7 substitutes. The incumbents, on the opposition side, are Flávio Bolsonaro (PL-RJ), Magno Malta (PL-ES), Marcos do Val (Podemos-ES), Marcio Bittar (PL-AC) and Hamilton Mourão (Republicanos-RS).
The government appointed senators Rogério Carvalho (PT-SE), Jorge Kajuru (PSB-GO), Angelo Coronel (PSD-BA) and Alessandro Vieira (MDB-SE), rapporteur, as incumbents, in addition to Alencar and Contarato.
During the first hearing, senator Alessandro Vieira proposed the division of work into thematic topics: territorial domain; money laundering; prison system; active and passive in all sectors; routes for transporting illicit goods.
Other topics would be crimes committed by factions (weapons trafficking, smuggling, tax evasion, theft, embezzlement, digital crimes); need for integration of bodies, with emphasis on the routes used by factions; in addition to crime prevention and repression measures and, finally, budget.
