The clown, elevated to the position of federal deputy for São Paulo, in 2010, with more than 1.3 million votes and the ironic slogan “It won’t get any worse”, announced this Thursday (6) that he will exchange former president Jair Bolsonaro’s PL for PSD and will run in his home state, Ceará, in the 2026 elections.

The change of electoral domicile is explained by the reduced vote that the comedian had in the previous election. At the time, with 71 thousand votes, he was the candidate elected with the lowest number of votes in the state. Its continuity in Brasília is due to the performance of other PL vote-pullers, especially Bolsonaro politicians such as Carla Zambelli, Ricardo Salles and Eduardo Bolsonaro.

On the PSD side, Tiririca’s entry adds to other bets to attract votes in 2026. Previously, only in the state of São Paulo, Kassab affiliated funk player MC Gui and other TV celebrities. In the case of the musician, he must sew his support as a defender of social projects in the capital of São Paulo, focused on teaching jiu-jitsu and caring for pets.

— He has social initiatives, wants to have a political role, and chose the PSD to start this path — said Kassab after handing the form to MC Gui. — I think that this initiative, of seeking affiliation, the beginning of political party activism, can serve as an example for all those who want to follow this path. The PSD tries to increase its bench in Congress at the same time as it increases its reach in the municipalities, through mayors, and seeks regional chiefs. This year, it has already signed up governors Eduardo Leite, from Rio Grande do Sul, and Raquel Lyra, from Pernambuco, as well as former governor Paulo Hartung, from Espírito Santo.

Hartung’s entry ceremony, in fact, was accompanied by a new wave of influencers, such as biomedical scientist Roberto Figueiredo, known as “Dr. Bactéria”. The party also includes Camila Kiss, an SBT actress who gained popularity with hidden camera pranks on the Silvio Santos Program, and digital content creator Gabriel Brito, who reports on the internet about his daily life as a person with a disability.
