BA government paid R$1.9 million per festival with Macron – 11/08/2025 – Panel

The Department of Tourism paid R$ 1.86 million to a company for sponsoring the festival “Our Future, Brazil – France: Dialogues with Africa”, held on the 5th and 6th of November at the MAM (Museum of Modern Art), in Salvador.

The opening of the festival , . The event discussed the relationship between the two countries and Africa. The sponsorship contract was signed with the event production company Mais Ações Integradas.

The French president left Bahia this Thursday (6) heading to Belém (PA), where he participated in the Leaders’ Summit, an event that brings together heads of state before , the climate conference, and for a bilateral meeting with President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT).

The company Prime 7 Comércio de Alimentos e Serviços Graphics was also hired, for R$32 thousand, to provide food services at the festival.

When contacted, the government of Bahia did not comment on sponsoring the festival.
