Students who will take the Enem (National High School Exam) 2025 exams this Sunday (9) will have free public transport in several Brazilian cities. The measure, announced by city halls and the state government in São Paulo, aims to facilitate the movement of candidates to the test locations.
The MEC (Ministry of Education) reinforces the importance of planning for test days. In a post on social media, the organization advises candidates to use map and route applications to simulate the route to the exam location, calculating travel time and preventing unforeseen events.
The access gates will open at 12pm and close promptly at 1pm (Brasília time), requiring organization. The test will start at 1:30 pm and will last 5 and a half hours.
In the capital of São Paulo, the City of São Paulo maintains the benefit of . All candidates will be able to use municipal buses free of charge throughout the day, from 00:00 to 23:59, on the two Sundays of the test.
SPTrans and the Municipal Department of Urban Mobility and Transport recommend that students plan their routes in advance to avoid unforeseen events. To do this, it offers a route consultation tool; It is necessary to select the “Sunday” option to obtain information about the times and lines valid for the day of the test. There will be 4,900 buses running to meet demand.
The Government of the State of São Paulo also guaranteed free metropolitan and intercity transport. The measure covers CPTM, Metro, ViaQuatro and ViaMobilidade lines, as well as intercity buses in all metropolitan regions of the state of São Paulo.
The free fee will be valid on both dates, November 9th and 16th, from 9am to 9pm, without the need to present proof of education or any other documentation.
To ensure fluidity, the metro lines and metropolitan trains will monitor demand, with reserve trains on standby and additional staff for guidance. Those who choose to go by bicycle are allowed to board on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays, in the last car of the train, with a limit of four bicycles per journey.
Traffic changes
CET (Traffic Engineering Company) of São Paulo prepared a traffic operation for the date, with the aim of guaranteeing the fluidity and safety of students. The elevated Presidente João Goulart, known as Minhocão, will be open to vehicle traffic from 7am to 2pm this Sunday, aiming to improve accessibility between the east and west zones of the capital.
The , which transforms Avenida Paulista and the Liberdade neighborhood into leisure areas, will be suspended, allowing vehicle traffic to facilitate access to the test sites.
The leisure cycle lanes will also not operate this Sunday (9), to optimize the movement of candidates. CET’s operation involves monitoring the city’s main corridors, with teams focused on guiding pedestrians, inspecting loading and unloading areas, and speeding up the removal of road interference.
Guarulhos
In the city of Guarulhos, the city hall confirmed free public transport by bus on the 9th and 16th of November. To take advantage of the benefit, students must present proof of enrollment in Enem to the bus driver, along with an official document with photo.
The benefit is individual and exclusive to the candidate registered for the exam, valid only on municipal lines. Other passengers who do not take the Enem will pay the fare normally.
São Bernardo do Campo
In São Bernardo do Campo, the “Tamo Junto no Enem” action package offers a free pass (round trip) on municipal buses for students on the 9th and 16th of November.
To access the free course, which will be valid from 8am to 8pm, it is mandatory to present your Legal Student Card. Those who do not yet have the card can register in the School Card tab and follow all the instructions.
In addition to transport, the initiative offers strategic support points close to four teaching units (Federal University of ABC, João Ramalho State School, Methodist University of São Paulo and Faculty of Law of São Bernardo), where a thousand kits will be distributed with water, a pen suitable for the exam and a cereal bar. There will also be psychologists and massage available to candidates.
Security will be reinforced with agents from the GCM (Municipal Civil Guard) and the PM (Military Police) intensifying patrols, and City Hall teams will carry out inspections to curb excessive noise around the test sites, for the tranquility of candidates.
Other cities
The initiative to offer free transport is not restricted to these cities. Five other cities will also offer free transport to Enem: Santo André, Mogi das Cruzes, Osasco, Bertioga and Itaquaquecetuba.
The general recommendation is that students consult the specific information for their cities in advance.
