The life of a 34-year-old pedestrian ended on Saturday afternoon in a traffic accident on road II/519 in the village of Rudno (Turčianske Teplice district). Žilina regional police spokeswoman Daniela Kocková informed TASR about this.

She added that A 19-year-old driver behind the wheel of a Honda passenger car, heading from Martin to Prievidza, drove off the road for unknown reasons, where there was a collision with a pedestrian. “The 34-year-old pedestrian suffered injuries from which he died on the spot. The driver was taken to hospital by ambulance,” explained Kocková.
The result of the breathalyzer test for the presence of alcohol in the driver was negative. Other circumstances of the tragic traffic accident are the subject of an ongoing investigation.
