The militant movements Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad on Friday evening handed over the body of another deceased hostage to Israel through the Red Cross. Militant groups announced in the afternoon that the body of the 23rd hostage was found in the vicinity of the town of Khan Júnís, but his identity was not disclosed. TASR informs about it according to the AFP agency and the Times of Israel portal.

The coffin with the remains of the deceased was taken from the Red Cross workers in the Gaza Strip by members of the Israeli army. The remains will be taken to the Forensic Institute in Tel Aviv for identification.
Armistice agreement
As part of the cease-fire agreement, Palestinian militant groups led by Hamas pledged to hand over the bodies of 28 deceased hostages to Israel. So far, 22 have been returned – 19 were Israelis, one Thai, one Nepali and one Tanzanian. Hamas returns the remains of the deceased gradually. He claims that he has trouble finding the places where they were buried in the destroyed Gaza Strip.
