Instead of pouring it down the sink, pour it into a pot. The Spathiphyllum will thank you

Spathiphyllas decorate many interiors. Their long, shiny leaves and spectacular flowers can attract attention. These plants are quite easy to grow. However, in order for them to develop profusely, it is worth supporting them with some home-made conditioner. Thanks to it, they will look even better. We advise you how to water the specimens.

If we want our Spathiphyllum to grow healthily and bloom, we must take care of several important issues. The first is to provide the plant with an appropriate position. It grows best in bright, but not heavily sunny places.

In addition, we also need to take care of air humidity. For this purpose, we can regularly sprinkle the leaves with soft water or place the pot on a stand filled with pebbles and water.to maintain a moist environment for the specimen.

Let’s also not forget how important it is to water the plant properly. The Spathiphyllum feels best in moist soil, but at the same time it does not tolerate overwatering. Therefore, it is worth using drainage at the bottom of the pot to get rid of excess water. The plant should be watered only when the top layer dries out. Use boiled or standing water for this purpose.

Fertilizing the Spathiphyllum is also important. Without it, it will grow much slower and bloom less often. For feeding the plant, it’s worth it use home methods that will cheaply, naturally and effectively strengthen our specimen.

One proven way is to use something that we usually pour down the sink. We’re talking about water after boiling eggs. Instead of getting rid of it, let’s water the plant with it once every two weeks, replacing the typical watering that falls on that date. However, remember to cool the egg water completely before using it. Also, do not use salted water, as it could harm the plant.

This homemade fertilizer is extremely effective. This is because the water after boiling eggs is full of valuable minerals that support the growth and flowering of the plant. The most important ingredient it contains is calcium, which helps the specimen build strong cell walls and also has a beneficial effect on root development. Without it, the pterygoid would become weakened and its leaves would begin to deform.

In addition, egg cooking water also contains magnesium, phosphorus and potassium. Magnesium supports photosynthesis and thus affects the appearance of leaves. However, phosphorus supports the development of the root system and stimulates the plant to flower. In turn, potassium supports the proper functioning of water mechanisms in the plant.
