The former first lady said this Saturday (8) that her husband, (), is the only name on the right to become President in 2026 and that, if this does not happen, it will be the result of a coup by the Judiciary in the country.
During a meeting of PL Mulher, which she presides over, in Londrina (PR), Michelle placed the National Congress hostage to the (Supreme Federal Court) and stated that Bolsonaro has found it difficult to recover from health problems because he has not found “peace of mind” to do so.
The event took place one day after the STF unanimously rejected . He, who had already been declared ineligible by the Electoral Court, was sentenced to 27 years in prison, and the start of serving his sentence in a closed regime is expected later this year.
“Here I want to say that there is no other option for the Presidency of the Republic [em 2026]. The only option for president of the Republic from the right is called Jair Messias Bolsonaro,” she said. “If it doesn’t happen, there is no democracy in Brazil. If it doesn’t happen, this is the real blow that the Judiciary is giving to the good people, the Brazilian people”, he added.
In almost 40 minutes of her speech, the former first lady once again said that her husband, currently imprisoned at home, is a victim of persecution.
According to Michelle, laws approved by deputies are annulled by the Supreme Court if they are not “in accordance” with the court’s understanding.
“We have seen Congress on its knees in front of the STF. This is very sad for us. Today, unfortunately, the only one who governs is the Judiciary.”
In this context, she also argued that Bolsonaro’s confrontation with the Supreme Court takes its toll on the former president’s health, who suffers from seven surgeries following a stab wound during the 2018 campaign.
“My husband underwent his last surgery and was never able to recover from the hiccups. He became exhausted. He has several health problems resulting from the surgery. It wasn’t because of the surgery [que ele piorou]it was because he didn’t have time to recover, peace of mind to recover, favorable environment, an abyss to recover from.”
PL Woman
National president of PL Mulher, Michelle travels around the country to attract new women to join the party with speeches in defense of conservative agendas. This Saturday, when defending greater female participation in politics, she said that women have the role of assistant and submissive – however, within a respectful relationship.
“The Bible talks about the wife’s submission to her husband, but it is a healthy submission, because there is a context in the word of God about the woman being submissive to her husband. He says: ‘husbands, love your wives as God loved the world and gave his only son, his firstborn, for salvation’. It’s a lot of love, isn’t it?”, she said.
Michelle also said that God is missing in politics and said that it is not possible to be a Christian and a communist. “Christians are in favor of life, communists are in favor of death, abortion,” he said. Afterwards, she criticized the activism carried out in federal universities.
“They form an alliance with Hamas and demonize Israel. Firstly, no one on the right enters a federal university, but when you arrive at the university, you see young people in drag. You see young people of homosexuals supporting Hamas, they don’t even know what they are talking about. They don’t understand that Hamas kills gays in public, that women are not free to show their hair.”
Still in the crusade against communism, she stated that instead of being root communists “just like Mujica [Pepe Mujica, ex-presidente do Uruguai]”, Brazilian leftists love what capitalism can offer and that, to deceive the population, they want to regulate social networks.
“So that you, the average person, don’t get what they’re doing,” he said.
Michelle asked those present to work to build new candidacies and warned: “If you enter politics and you get rich, something wrong has happened.” The assets of Jair Bolsonaro and his children, as shown in Sheet in 2018, when he launched himself for President.
