Councilors opposing Mayor Ricardo Nunes (MDB) complained about being left out of the list of those awarded tickets for the F1 race at the Interlagos racetrack, in the south of the capital, this Sunday (9).
As usual, the Executive provides a package with two tickets per day at GP São Paulo for each councilor. The Civil House, the body that coordinates the city hall and the City Council, is the one who distributes tickets to councilors.
In the WhatsApp group that brings together councilors, parliamentarian Silvia Ferraro (PSOL), from the feminist bench, expressed her dissatisfaction at not having been included.
“I don’t think it’s right that some councilors receive invitations to city hall events and others don’t. I think this breaks the equality of the House”, wrote Silvia, this Friday (7).
“It’s the first time I’ve seen this happen. Milton Leite [ex-presidente da Câmara] He always extended invitations to all councilors equally. Regardless of political position, we are all elected councilors”, continued the psolist.
HAS Sheet Silva says he is not a fan of F1, however, he complained that there is a lack of equality.
“The distribution was never done in a political way, there is a lack of equality. We are at the end of the year and we, from Psol, have not received any amendments”, says the councilor.
Adrilles Jorge (União) also made demands in the WhatsApp group. “I didn’t receive two invitations from Sunday [dia da corrida]. Someone takes more. Unfair and a little petty. But it’s not worth posting a complaint lol [sic].”
The Chamber’s press office said, in a statement, that the distribution of tickets for F1 is carried out by the City Hall’s Civil House.
The Nunes management stated that “tickets for the São Paulo Formula 1 Grand Prix were distributed considering availability and advance notice of requests.”
The city hall did not inform the number of tickets received and the criteria for distribution.
Shortly after Silvia’s outburst in the WhatsApp group, councilor Rute Costa (PL), an ally of the mayor, responded with irony.
“Suggestion: include in your post a photo of the councilors who received the invitations from the city hall, denouncing this neglect [sic]”, wrote Rute, alluding to the fact that Luana Alves (PSOL) had published on her networks a photo with the faces of all the councilors who voted in favor of the bill that authorized the city hall to increase IPTU.
“Just kidding! See! But remembering is living again [sic]”, concluded Ruth.
Minutes later, Rute herself and Pastor Sandra Alves (União) explained that they had already passed on their tickets to other people, otherwise they could share them with those who were left without.
