A serious accident took the life of a child in the Remanso neighborhood, in Cruzeiro do Sul, on Saturday afternoon (8). João, approximately 7 years old and diagnosed with autism, was hit by a motorcycle while leaving home.

The motorcycle driver remained at the scene and provided assistance until the arrival of the Mobile Emergency Care Service (Samu), which confirmed the child’s death. Authorities from the Military Police and Technical Forensics attended the scene to record the incident and begin investigations.
The body was sent to the city’s Legal Medical Institute (IML). Family members and neighbors are in shock over the accident, which shocked the community in the Remanso neighborhood.
