Former inmate Suzane von Richthofen decided to reactivate her flip-flop store account days after the launch of the series “Tremembé”, which has had great repercussions on the networks.
Since December last year, the store’s Instagram had not posted anything on the social network. However, at the beginning of the week, after the success of the “Tremembé” series, a video was published. Internet users even commented that Suzane was “taking advantage of the hype to publicize”.
In the following days, new posts were made, showing different models of flip-flops that are for sale.
The business, called “Su Entrelinhas”, was created in Angatuba (SP), the city where she lived when she left the Tremembé women’s penitentiary.
Information about the studio was revealed by Ulisses Campbell, author of the book “Suzane: Assassina e Manipuladora”. According to the journalist, the decorated flip-flops are the brand’s main product and cost between R$150 and R$180.
The pieces are delivered throughout Brazil and draw attention to the artisanal finish and packaging with pink labels, which accompany each order. In January 2024, the store went on break, and returned in June of the same year.
Still according to Ulisses, the artistic curation of the studio is carried out by Josiely Olberg, sister of Luciana Olberg — convicted of raping two girls. The two met in Tremembé prison, where Suzane spent much of her 20 years in prison.
“All products are handcrafted with lots of love and care by Su,” says the online store’s description. Orders, according to the announcement, can take up to 15 days to reach the customer.
With more than 80 thousand followers on Instagram, Suzane has used social networks to promote her work and maintain contact with the public. Some of the buyers are fans curious about the former prisoner’s story, and some even ask for autographs on the packaging or products.
