“The most skeptical, the most critical of the government, realizes: Tourism is surprising everyone, with truly extraordinary numbers, which speak for themselves. I think that the party group União Brasil should even take ownership of this”, said Sabino, who is participating in COP30.
The minister after defying the party’s order to hand over government positions. Sabino intends to be a candidate for the Senate for Pará with the support of Lula in 2026.
He says he trusts his defense in the party’s internal judgment and that his colleagues should reflect better on the matter.
“There is a lack of more detailed analysis on this subject. I think we need to cool down and dedicate more time to understanding this case,” he said.
The minister cited the fact that Brazil surpassed the 7 million tourist mark for the first time, in 2025.
“Whether you like it or not, I am a member of União Brasil. I have worked together with our leaders to approve important Congressional projects, such as the General Tourism Law”, he added.
“There’s a lot of time ahead. Everything you don’t need to decide now, you don’t have to decide now”, he adds.
