It is not possible to relax in the wellness market. On the contrary: the sector, which is expected to generate more than US$8.47 trillion worldwide in 2027, according to projections by the Global Wellness Institute, has been experiencing moments of acceleration.
In Brazil, which occupies the 12th position among 218 nations mapped by the organization, in the ranking of expenses and investments related to well-being, a company that already has leadership in spa chains is now seeking to open new fronts.
the largest chain of spas in Latin America, which will end 2025 with more than 150 units spread across all regions of Brazil, has just acquired Pomander, a national company and reference in well-being products, Bach flower remedies, essential oils, home sprays and natural cosmetics. The transaction value was R$4.8 million.

Em exclusive interview with InfoMoneythe chain’s CEO, Gustavo Albanesi, mentioned that this is just one of the group’s new business fronts. “With the acquisition, we are expanding our product unit and opening new channels. Pomander already sells to drugstores, has four licensed stores, has an ecommerce and partnerships for sales in other chains, such as Track & Field. We will strengthen these channels, increase product SKUs and, next year, we will launch a new business model, Pomander spaces”, says Albanesi.

Pomander brand products will not be sold within Buddha Spa units, but will be used in a new vertical to be launched in 2026: the implementation and management of boutique spas in hotels, inns and residential condominiums with specific service protocols.
Growth strategy
The acquisition is part of the company’s expansion process, which combines organic expansion with mergers and acquisitions to accelerate market gain and strengthen its well-being ecosystem. Although it is the second operation of its kind this year for Buddha Spa — and the seventh in the company’s history — it is the first ‘ancillary business’ company to join the group. “We are developing a well-being ecosystem”, defines Albanesi.

An internationalization of the brand is also in the company’s plans, which will begin expansion in Chile and Argentina by the end of the first quarter of 2026.
Continues after advertising
All plans are being put into practice with own capital. Including an investment of R$10 million for the new headquarters that will be inaugurated on November 17th.
The new office, a single-use building with 3,000 square meters on Avenida Angélica, in São Paulo, will bring together the franchisor’s administrative and operations area, a Pomander store and “the largest massage therapy school in Brazil, with 1000 square meters, which will have a space for already trained professionals to carry out their first services to clients for reduced prices”, he says.
With so many initiatives, the expectation is to end 2025 with a 40% growth in revenue – and repeat the same 40% in 2026, ending next year with revenue of R$210 million.
