This Saturday’s blitz marks the beginning of Operation Sinister Zero, which, according to the agency, aims to reduce as much as possible the number of accidents on DF highways during the rainy season, educating drivers and inspecting vehicles.
The inspection will be repeated on new dates until the end of the year. The locations will not be disclosed “to ensure that the operation runs normally”, informs the ministry.
“The DER works to preserve lives and, to this end, it knows that, in addition to the works that improve the flow of traffic, it is extremely necessary to carry out education and inspection actions. We do not work to punish, but rather to guide and make traffic increasingly safer and ensure that the laws are respected”, stated the president of DER-DF, Fauzi Nacfur Júnior.
