How is the writing
The writing test requires the production of a prose text, of an essay-argumentative type, with up to 30 lines based on the proposed problem situation, the motivating texts and the knowledge built throughout your training.
Participants will have to write a dissertation-argumentative text, with up to 30 lines, based on the proposed problem situation, the motivating texts and the knowledge built throughout the training. The topic of the essay will be social, scientific, cultural or political.
The text project, with information, facts and opinions related to the proposed topic, must defend a point of view – an opinion regarding the proposed topic -, supported by consistent arguments, structured with coherence.
The candidate must also prepare a social intervention proposal (solution) for the problem presented in the development of the text. This proposal must respect human rights. Proposals that disrespect human rights will receive a score of zero. They constitute disrespect for proposals that, for example, incite people to violence or have racist references.
Correction
Only essays transcribed for the official Enem test essay sheet will be corrected. Each essay will be corrected by two correctors, with degrees in literature or linguistics, independently, without one knowing the grade given by the other.
Brokers will assign a score from 0 to 200 points in each of the five skills. The sum of these points makes up the total grade awarded by the evaluator, which can reach 1,000 points. The participant’s final grade will be the arithmetic average between the total grades awarded by the two evaluators.
Note zero
Among the criteria set out in the Enem 2024 notice that result in a zero grade in the essay are:
- Avoidance of the proposed theme;

- Name, signature, initials or any other form of identification, anywhere on the writing sheet;
- Disobedience to the dissertation-argumentative structure and
- Disrespect for the seriousness of the exam, with swear words, drawings and other forms of intentional cancellation.
