The businesswoman, who is in charge of the BODY event, spoke with reporter Mônica Apor and spoke fondly of Preta Gil, honored at the event held at the Hotel Unique, in São Paulo, this Saturday (8/11). The content creator highlighted the importance of paying tribute to the singer, who passed away on August 20 of this year.
Ju highlighted that he had Preta’s support since the first edition, when the event was still being born. “Preta’s life, she illuminated the lives of many people, and mine. She was a lighthouse. She is a lighthouse, because I feel Preta many times. BODY was born a lot because she supported me. The first edition of BODY had 200 people and Preta was the big attraction. So she came from Rio, she was with me, I didn’t even know exactly what the event was going to be, but she was supporting me and she was believing in this project. So, I think I had an obligation to honor her.”

Part of Preta’s family was present at the tribute, including Bela Gil, Flora Gil and Malu Barbosa, who was one of the artist’s best friends. “We are going to pay her a beautiful tribute and I, together with the entire team, created the Preta Gil award, where we celebrate women in the diversity, education, financial freedom sector and, above all, institutions that do good for the next generations”, concluded Ju Ferraz.
The tribute to Preta Gil was to reflect on legacy, inspiration and the strength of women who transform generations. The event also had the illustrious presence of Astrid Fontenelle and Letícia Colin, who led conversations on topics that challenge women, from entrepreneurship to building self-esteem.
