The DPU (of the Union) will launch the conference on , a documentary about the tragedy of , in addition to a public consultation regarding the protocol for acting in disasters and socio-environmental emergencies.
The organization will participate in the event, which takes place between the 10th and 21st of November in Belém (PA). At the opening, the DPU will launch the mini-documentary “Brumadinho: is there reparation for death?”, which shows the institution’s work with families affected by .
The production, which will also be shown on TV Justiça, addresses the search for financial reparation and accountability for the human and environmental damage caused by the disaster.
The DPU will also launch a public consultation on the protocol for action in disasters and socio-environmental emergencies, which guides the institution’s actions in situations of environmental, climate and humanitarian crises.
The preliminary document is prepared in a participatory manner and may receive contributions from civil society, affected communities and public institutions until December 3rd.
