Roma took the lead in the Italian Championship after beating Udinese 2-0 this Sunday (9), at the Olympic Stadium in Rome. The result kept Daniele De Rossi’s team in excellent form and extended their unbeaten run in the competition.
The first goal came at the end of the first half, with Paulo Dybala taking advantage of a surplus in the area. In the final stage, Romelu Lukaku headed home a precise cross from Spinazzola and secured the three points for the team from the capital.
With the victory, the team reached 29 points and surpassed the one that stumbled in the round. Udinese, in turn, remains at the bottom of the table and has accumulated just one victory in the last six matches.
After the final whistle, De Rossi praised the team’s attitude:
“We played with balance and intensity. This is the path we need to follow if we want to fight for the title”, said .
Roma returns to the field next Sunday (16), away from home, against Bologna, in the 13th round of Serie A.
