This Sunday (9), Palmeiras made a publication on X (formerly Twitter) to celebrate Lando Norris’ victory in the Formula 1 Brazilian GP.

The origin of the connection
The bond was born naturally, in 2021, when Norris came to Brazil to compete in the São Paulo GP and was invited by Palmeiras to watch a game at Allianz Parque. The match was against Atlético-GO, and Verdão won 4-0 — coincidence or not, the number used by Norris in Formula 1 is precisely the number 4.
The experience enchanted the pilot, who was accompanied by a Brazilian friend who is a Palmeiras fan. After the game, he met players from the squad, such as Dudu, and coach Abel Ferreira, posing for photos and receiving an official personalized club shirt.

Since then, interaction between Lando Norris and Palmeiras has become frequent. The club usually wishes the driver good luck on race days and celebrates his achievements on the track, while Norris returns the affection with messages and reposts.
In 2021, he even congratulated Dudu on winning the Libertadores over Flamengo. In 2023, he celebrated Verdão’s Brazilian title, sharing official club publications on his networks.
