German police on Monday announced the arrest of a man suspected of threatening and injuring several passengers on a train in northern Germany. TASR informs about it according to the report of the DPA agency.

On Sunday evening, a man threatened a fellow passenger with a knife and stole his backpack on a train heading to the city of Stralsund on the Baltic Sea coast. the police said in a statement. At the same time, he is accused of assaulting the woman who filmed the incident, and also of assaulting another woman.

The attacker got off the train in the village of Jatznick, where, according to witnesses, the police later identified and detained a 30-year-old man. He resisted arrest and officers found drugs on him, including methamphetamine and cocaine. After his arrest, he was taken to the Forensic Medicine Clinic and is being investigated for armed robbery and assault.
